Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 39 COCHRANE, Terrence Moore WWI Terrence enlisted in the St. Francis Xavier Hospital unit in March, 1916 and arrived in England on June 30. After several months operating the Canadian Hospital at Bramshott, he transferred to another unit in order to get to France quickly. He became a dispatch rider after which he was accidentally killed while on duty in the summer of 1918. Submitted by the Middleton Branch #001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. COURTNEY, Thomas Parker WWI Thomas was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in 1889. He joined the Army and served with the Canadian Garrison Regiment on a hospital ship during World War I. He joined the Reserves and served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in Canada from 1956 to 1995. Murray has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122 for 38 years. She joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corps and served in Canada during peacetime. Alta has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122 for 9 years.
