He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1956 and took his basic training at HMCS Cornwallis. After leaving Cornwallis, he served on HMCS Saguenay, Iroquois, Restigouche, Qu’Appelle, Terra Nova, Ottawa, Huron, and Margaree. He also served at the following bases: HMCS Star, Stadacona, Shelburne, CFFS Halifax, Argentia, NL, ADAC, and was the Fleet School Chief Petty Officer. Stanley has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122. Submitted by the Clementsport Legion Branch #122 of The Royal Canadian Legion. FERGUSON (MacDONALD), Margaret “Greet” WWII Margaret was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia. She joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served as a Lieutenant in Newfoundland and Avalon during World War II. Margaret was a Registered Nurse. Submitted by the Inverness Branch #132 of The Royal Canadian Legion. GAUDET, Maurice Edward WWII Maurice was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on February 25, 1923. He joined the Canadian Army and served in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia during World War II. He was a member of Legion Branch #012 before he died on May 16, 1994. Submitted independently. FREDERICKS, D. Percy PEACETIME Percy was born in 1940 in Berwick, Nova Scotia. He joined the Army and served with the Black Watch. He took his basic training in 1958 at Camp Gagetown. He also served with the Black Watch Reserves for two or three years. Percy has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122 for 38 years.
