Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 77 HAzELDINE, Frank Churchill WWI Frank enlisted in the 246th Battalion in February, 1916 at the age of 16, and sailed for England in May, 1916. He reached France on December 4, 1916, fighting through many big battles with the 85th Battalion. Frank was wounded on October 26, 1918 in the closing days of the war. He joined the Canadian Army in 1961 and took his basic training at Shiloh, Manitoba. He then served as a Medic at the following bases: Gagetown, Borden, Kingston, Ontario, Egypt, Petawawa, Germany, CFB Halifax and Downsview, Ontario. He served for 35 years. HOOD, Archibald “Archie” SPECIAL DUTYAREA Archie was born in 1933 in Dumbarton, Scotland. He joined the Royal Air Force, took his basic training in England, and served for two years. He was then stationed in Seletar, Singapore and was involved in fighting the Malaysian terrorists. Archie has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122 for 27 years. Submitted by the Clementsport Legion Branch #122 of The Royal Canadian Legion. HILDEN, Harold William “Bill” PEACETIME Bill was born in 1949 in St. John, New Brunswick. He joined the RCRs in 1966 and then re-mustered to PERI, taking his training at London, Ontario. He served for 17 years at the following: Cornwallis, CFS Sydney, 2 tours at Camp Borden, ON and CFB Halifax. Bill has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122 for 17 years.
