She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1952 and took her basic training at St. Jean, Quebec. She then went to Aylmer as a Pay Accounts Clerk and finished up her 1 1/2 years at Clinton, Ontario. LEGER, Jerome Peter PEACETIME Jerome was born in Sudbury, Ontario in 1939. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1956 and took his basic training in Kingston, Ontario. He served for 38 years and 4 months at Kingston, as well as in Africa’s Congo, and in Germany, Valcartier, Quebec, and Rivers, Manitoba. Jerome has been a member of Clementsport Legion Branch #122 for 20 years. Submitted by the Clementsport Legion Branch #122 of The Royal Canadian Legion. LEMAL, Marcel WWII Marcel was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia. He joined the Canadian Army and served with the Highlanders in Europe during World War II. Marcel is a Life member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald Legion Branch #132 in Inverness. Submitted by the Inverness Branch #132 of The Royal Canadian Legion. LEIGHTON, Thomas Elmer WWII Thomas was born in Wentworth, Hants County, Nova Scotia in 1919. He joined the Army and served with the 3rd Medium Artillery, 87th Battery, in Canada, England and Europe.
