He joined the Army during World War II and served in Europe with the Cape Britain Highlanders. John was killed in action in Italy in 1944. REDDINGTON, James WWI James enlisted with the 66th Princess Louise Fusiliers on August 8, 1914 and was transferred to the 14th Battalion. He went overseas on September 19, 1914 and proceeded to France on February 15, 1915. He was gassed in the battle of Ypres in 1915 and wounded again on February 25, 1916. He returned to Canada on February 19, 1917 and was discharged in November 1918. Submitted by the Middleton Branch # 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion. RICHARDSON, Sharon Jane Yvonne PEACETIME Sharon was born in 1936 in Toronto, Ontario and served in Canada and on the high seas with VU 32 – HMCS Shearwater, CFTSHQ in Trenton, Ontario, NDHC – Maritime Command Headquarters. Sharon commanded HMCS Sackville from 1994-99 and was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration 3, the Golden Jubilee Medal and the Diamond Jubilee Medal. Sharon has been a member of St. Margaret’s Bay Legion Branch # 116 for 49 years. Submitted independently. RHYNO, Robert Borden WWII Robert was born in Inverness County, Nova Scotia. He joined the Army during World War II and served in Europe with the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. Submitted by the Inverness Branch # 132 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
