She joined the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps and served as a Lieutenant with Unit 2, Canadian General Hospital in Europe during World War II. Submitted by the Inverness Branch # 132 of The Royal Canadian Legion. SUDDS, Donald WWII Donald was born in Lake Ainslie, Cape Breton. He joined the Royal Highland Regiment of Canada (Black Watch) and served in Europe during World War II. Submitted by the Inverness Branch # 132 of The Royal Canadian Legion. SUTHERLAND, David John WWI David was born in Cape Breton in 1889. In World War I, he joined the Canadian Expeditionary Forces and served in Canada, but was medically discharged. David was a plumber by trade and he raised eight children with his wife, Alice Banfield, whom he married in 1914. He died in 1933 at the age of 43. Submitted independently. SUDDS, Herbert WWI & WWII Herbert was born on April 23, 1893 in Lake Ainslie, Nova Scotia. He served in Europe with the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I and also served during World War II. Submitted by the Inverness Branch # 132 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
