He served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in Northwest Europe during World War II. Neil has been a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald Legion Branch 132 in Inverness. Submitted by the Inverness Branch # 132 of The Royal Canadian Legion. CAMPBELL, Lawrence Archibald WWII Lawrence was born in Malagawatch, Cape Breton in 1923. He was an Able Body Seaman working with the Royal Canadian Medical Corps on the Queen Mary. He also sailed on the Letitia through the Panama Canal, in the South Pacific to Manila. He did over 20 crossings of the Atlantic on the Letitia alone. Lawrence was a member of Whycocomagh Legion Branch # 123 for about 35 years.
