He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the France and Germany Star, the 1939-45 Star and the Defence Medal. His discharge was in January 1946. Norman was a Charter and Founding Member of Valley Legion Branch 147 in Upper Musquodoboit. He was a member for 55 years before he passed away in 2011. Submitted independently.
