Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 101 DINGLE, Wesley Hart WWI & WWII Wesley was born in Liscombe, Guysborough County, Nova Scotia in June 1900. He served the Royal Canadian Navy during World War I and World War II. He was discharged with the rank of Chief Shipwright. Wesley was a member of Somme Branch # 031 of The Royal Canadian Legion before he passed away in April 1972. Submitted by Calais Branch # 162 of The Royal Canadian Legion DODGE, James Parker WWI Parker was born in Middleton, Nova Scotia in 1882. He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 2nd Pioneer Battalion in November 1915 and served in France and Belgium. He returned home and was discharged on May 1, 1919. Submitted by Middleton Branch # 001 of The Royal Canadian Legion DOREY, Halton Truman WWI Halton joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force on September 13, 1915 in Sussex, New Brunswick at the age of 18. He was severely wounded during a nighttime bombing patrol in no-man’s land on June 9, 1918, during the 2nd Battle of Arras. He died three days later and is buried in plot 2 H 17 in the Wailly Orchard Cemetery in England. Halton was the son of H. Truman Dorey and Bessie Dorey of Newburne, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia.
