WWI Harold was born in Graywood, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia in 1896. He enlisted in the 246th Battalion in 1916 and joined the 185th Cape Breton Highlanders in England before being transferred to the 25th Battalion. Harold was killed in France on December 20, 1918 and is buried at the Terlincthun Cemetery in Wimille, France.
