He enlisted with the 219th Overseas Highland Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force on April 17, 1916. Submitted by Harding Branch # 144 of The Royal Canadian Legion HOPKINS, Levi W. WWI Levi was born in Clark’s Harbour, Nova Scotia. He served at Vimy Ridge during World War I and returned home in 1920. Levi saved his cousin, Milford Hopkins, by crawling on his stomach and dragging Milford to safety. He is a member of Cape Sable Legion Branch # 148. Submitted independently
