He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force and served with the Nova Scotia Forestry Company during World War I. Ross passed away of Spanish Influenza in England in 1919. He served with the Nova Scotia Regiment in Canada and England during World War I. Curtis passed away in 1993.
