He joined the Army on August 16, 1950 and trained at Petawawa, Ontario and Fort Lewis, Washington. Leonard served in the Royal Canadian Regiment, 2nd Battalion, in Korea where he was killed in action on October 4, 1951. He was 22 years old. Submitted independently MacFARLANE, John Richard WWII John was born in Upper Margaree, Nova Scotia. He enlisted in the Army and served in Europe with the Cape Breton Highlanders during World War II. John has been a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald Legion Branch 132 in Inverness. Submitted by the Inverness Branch # 132 of The Royal Canadian Legion MacINNIS, Murdoch Angus WWII Murdoch was born in Skye Glen in 1920. He joined the Army during WWII and served in England.
