He joined the Navy and served in the Atlantic and Pacific and at HMCS Cornwallis in Nova Scotia. Charles has been a member of George R. Pearkes Legion Branch # 005 for fifty-four years. Submitted independently MacINTOSH, John Franklyn WWII John was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia in 1924. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served with 427 Squadron in Canada and Europe during World War II. John was a member of Yarmouth Legion Branch # 061 for more than fifty years before he passed away in 2012. Submitted by the Yarmouth Branch # 061 of The Royal Canadian Legion MacKAY, Norman Angus WWII Norman was born in 1921 in Dunakin. He served with the Regina Rifles in England, France and Belgium in World War II. On October 16, 1944 at the Leopold Canal, Private MacKay was wounded in action by a mine during heavy fighting.
