Sergeant McStay was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the War Medal 1939-45 and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. John has been a member of Eastern Marine Legion Branch # 161 for four years. Submitted independently McTAGGART, Leo WWII Leo was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1924. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served on HMCS Provider, Owen Sound, Huron, Magnificent and Protector during World War II.
