He joined the Army at the age of 19 and served in Korea as a Lance Corporal with the 1st Battalion RCR. Harry has been a member of L’Ardoise Legion Branch # 110 for fifty-six years. Submitted by the L’Ardoise Branch # 110 of The Royal Canadian Legion SAMSON, Leo Patrick PEACETIME Leo was born in Petit-de-Grat, Nova Scotia on March 17, 1933. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in Halifax in 1956 and served in Canada, France and Germany. He was discharged in 1967. Leo has been a member of Arichat Legion Branch # 150 for nineteen years and he worked there as a bartender until he retired. Patrick lives at his home in Petit-de-Grat. He joined the Navy during World War II and served on HMCS Magnificent, Bonaventure and HMS Implacable in Malta, Burma, and in the Atlantic and Pacific. Dennis is a Life Member of Centennial Legion Branch # 160 and has been a member for thirty years. He was Veteran of the Month in June 2009 at the Centennial Legion.
