He joined the Army during World War II and served in France with the Royal Canadian Regiment. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the 1939-45 Star, the Defence Medal, the France and Germany Star and the War Medal 1939-45. Walter passed away in 1994. She has been a member of Valley Legion Branch # 147. Submitted by the Valley Branch # 147 of The Royal Canadian Legion CARTER, Owen Alexander WWI Owen joined the 17th Reserve Battalion on May 25, 1917 and served in Canada and France.
