He joined the Army during World War II and served with the Royal Canadian Regiment in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and the Central Mediterranean area. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, the France and Germany Star, the Italy Star and the Holland Liberation Medal. Cyril was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 15 years and he passed away in 2004. He joined the Canadian Army during World War II and served with the Royal Canadian Signal Corps in England, France and Holland.
