Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 93 DAVIS, Terrance Allan PEACETIME Terrance was born in St. John, New Brunswick in 1965. He joined the Navy and served on HMCS Iroquois, Saskatchewan, Provider, Kootenay, Charlottetown and Montréal. He served in Canada and on the East and West coasts (Halifax and Victoria) as well as in Europe, in the Mediterranean, the Pacific, the Southwest and in the North Atlantic. Submitted independently DAVIS, William WWI William, son of Solomon and Mary (Cox) Davis of South Branch, was born in 1899 and joined the 106th Battalion and was sent to fight in France. There, they discovered he was underage and he was sent back to England and remained there for the duration of the war. After the war, he went to the United States, married and settled in the Boston area. William passed away in 1977. Submitted by the Stewiacke Valley Historical Society DAWSON, James Rath “Jim” WWI Jim was born in Upper Stewiacke in 1878, son of Alexander and Henrietta (Rath) Dawson. He was living in Montana when he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force and served overseas. Upon his return, he settled on a farm in Ponoka, Alberta and remained there until he died in 1930.
