Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 113 MacLEOD, Everett C. WWII Everett was born and raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia and moved to Kentville later in life. He joined the R.C.A.F. in 1940 and fought with the #1 Fighter Squadron (414) in the Battle of Britain until 1944. He was a 46-year Legion member at the time of his death in 2005. Submitted by the Kings Branch # 006 of The Royal Canadian Legion MacLEOD, Gordon WWII Gordon was born on November 9, 1922. He served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment overseas during World War II. Gordon passed away on September 1, 1994. Submitted by the Hants County Branch # 009 of The Royal Canadian Legion MACMILLAN, William Fancy WWII Bill was born in Cobalt, Ontario on October 3, 1923. He joined the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve. He enlisted in October 1941 and was honourably discharged in August 1945. He was a member of Branch # 034 and transferred to Torbay Branch # 117 in 1980 until his death. He was self-employed as a Fisherman. One of Bill’s hobbies was creating carvings; he had given one to Torbay Legion of a duck made of marble stone. Bill will be remembered and respected for his years of service.
