She served with the Army during Peacetime in Administration. She served in Cornwallis, NS; Borden, Ont.; Ottawa, Ont. And Trenton, Ont. Barbara received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal as well as the 10 year Rosettes. She lives in Petawawa and is employed as a civilian worker at CFB Petawawa, Ont. Submitted by the Peace Branch # 060 of The Royal Canadian Legion PARKER, Warren WWII Warren was born on August 8, 1914. He served the Royal Canadian Army from September 1942 to March 1946 in the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean and Holland. Warren passed away on November 6, 2004. Submitted by the Hants Co. Branch # 009 of The Royal Canadian Legion PEITZSCHE, John D. PEACETIME John was born in Goldfield, Saskatchewan on February 29, 1940. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on August 19, 1958. He was stationed in West Germany and NATO. John transferred from Arras. Br. #59 to Torbay Br. #117 and has been a member of the Legion for 34 years. He is married to Annie E. O’Neil and they raised two daughters and one son. John and Annie have retired in Goldboro, NS and are quite involved in community events. John is a member of the Isaac’s Harbour Masonic Lodge. He is Secretary of Goldboro Interpretive Center and Treasurer of the Goldboro Cenotaph. He is a board director on the Medical Board and President of the Federal Association of National Retirees. (F.S.N.A) John retired as a warrant officer on April 1, 1986 after 28 years in the Air Force. Submitted by the Torbay Branch # 117 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
