Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 13 ANDREWS, Stanley R. WWII Stanley was born on December 19, 1917, the son of Harry and Margaret (Smith) Andrews. He served in the Canadian Army, in the North Shore Regiment “A” Company in New Brunswick from 1942-1945. He served in Canada, Scotland, England and Continental Europe. He was wounded at the D-Day landing on Juno Beach on June 6, 1944. He spent many months in the hospital in England before returning in the winter of 1945. Among his medals were the France Star and the Germany Star 19391945. Stanley passed away in 1967 at the age of 50. He served in the Army with the RCASC/RCE during World War II. Clyde was released September 16th, 1946 and received the 1939-1945 War Medal (Victory Medal) and CVSM. He was a member of the Hants Co. Legion Branch # 009 for 14 years before he passed away in 2011. Submitted by the Hants Co. Branch # 009 of The Royal Canadian Legion ARCHIBALD, Herman KOREA Herman was born in 1931 in Ellershouse, Nova Scotia. He served in the Army with the RCE during the Korean War. Herman received the United Nations Service Medal (Korea) and the Korea Medal. He was a member of the Hants Co. Legion Branch # 009 for 26 years before he passed away in 2010.
