He was a veteran of the Second World War and served overseas with the 14th Canadian Field Regiment, taking part in the landing of Normandy. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Lucknow Branch #109. He was married to the former Beatrice Bessie Faulkner, and they resided in Hantsport, NS. Wilson passed away on March 3, 1998 at the age of 78 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, NS. He will be remember and respected for his years of service. His father was Daniel Petipas from Charlos Cove, NS. He was 23 years old and single at the time he was recruited to the 6 M.D. 1st Depot Battalion Nova Scotia Regiment. He was a fisherman by trade. He will be remembered and respected for his years of service. He was the son of the late Fred &Margaret (DeYoung) Pettipas. He served in World War I with the 6 M.D. 1st Depot Battalion Nova Scotia Regiment. He joined in Aldershot, NS on May 28, 1918 – Canadian Expeditionary Force at the age of 22. He was single and a Farmer at the time. He will be remembered and respected for his years of service.
