Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 205 WEATHERBEE, Albert M. KOREA Albert was born on November 2, 1927 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. He served 14 months in the Korean War as a gunner, when he was injured. He was shipped to the Military Hospital at Stadacona in Halifax to recuperate from his injuries. He was later given a medical discharge from the Canadian Forces. He was a decorated war veteran. Albert passed away on June 27, 2004. Submitted by the Lumsden Branch # 074 of The Royal Canadian Legion WEBBER, Murray T. WWII Murray was born in 1925 Chester Basin, Nova Scotia. He joined the RCAF during World War II and served on active service from January 18, 1943 and was honourably released. He served in Canada; Marseille, France; Longueil, P.Q.; Gimli, MB; Cold Lake, AB; Gagetown, NB and Greenwood. He then transferred to the Reserve General Section “E” on April 6, 1946. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and remained with the Regular Force until his retirement as Captain in September 1974. Murray passed away in 2005. Submitted by the Lawrencetown Branch # 112 of The Royal Canadian Legion WEBBER, Phillip Edgar WWI Philip was born in 1883 in Torbay, Nova Scotia. He was the son of the late James & Martha Webber. He married Mary Melissa Luddington and they raised 5 children. He served in the First World War, in the Royal Canadian Regiment. He will be remembered and respected for his years of service.
