He served the Canadian Army (Active), and was discharged on February 23, 1946. He married his war bride, Julia A. (Hillier) Weir in Botwood, Newfoundland, and together they had eight children. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, and the France and Germany Star. Ronald passed away on June 9, 1982. Submitted independently WELLS, Raymond Charles WWII Raymond was born on August 10, 1926 in Point de Bute, New Brunswick. He served in the Air Force with the 3rd CACRU (G 1453) during the Second World War in England. He received the Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the 19351945 War Medal. He was a member of the Colchester Legion Branch # 026 for 52 years before he passed away on March 14, 2015. Submitted by the Pugwash Branch # 060 of The Royal Canadian Legion WELLS, William Thomas “Bill” WWII Bill was born in Port Felix, Nova Scotia on December 5, 1908 to James & Margaret (Bellefontaine) Wells. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served overseas during that time. Upon returning home, he became a member of the civil service, working in the dockyard and retiring in 1972 after 42 years of service. Bill passed away on July 19, 1999 and is buried in Mount Hermon Cemetery. He will be remembered and respected for his years of service.
