He served in both World War I and World War II with the Air Force as part of the 193rd Nova Scotia Highlanders – CPL Battalion. Alfred served in Canada, Britain and France. He was a member of the Springhill Legion Branch # 017 before he passed away in 1969. Submitted independently WORTHYLAKE, Millan Grant WWII Grant was born in Stellarton, Nova Scotia and lived his adult life in Kentville. He served from 1941 to 1945 with the R.C.A.F. Bomber Command. After the war, Grant studied medicine, and was a practicing physician in Kentville. He was a thirty-four-year member of Kings Branch # 006, The Royal Canadian Legion at the time of his death in 2002.
