Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 21 BALL, Wilson F. WWII Wilson was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up there. He moved to Nova Scotia after the war. He fought with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment in Belgium, and was wounded in combat at Bergen op Zoom. He passed away in 2001. Submitted by the Kings Branch # 006 of The Royal Canadian Legion BARKHOUSE, William Brenton WWII William was born in 1905 in Upper New Cornwall. He joined the Canadian Army and served with the 5th Division in England, France, Italy, Holland and Germany during World War II. He was awarded the Defence Medal, the Italy Star and the France and Germany Star. He was a member of Mahone Bay Legion branch # 049 for thirty years before he passed away in 1975 Submitted by the Mahone Bay Branch # 049 of The Royal Canadian Legion BARTLETT, James Eldon WWII James served in the Royal Canadian Air Force Marine Section. Most of his time was spent at sea aboard the “O.K. Service” and other ships. He made many trips to Northern Newfoundland and Iceland. He was discharged shortly after the war ended.
