Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion www.ns.legion.ca 59 COMER, John Edward WWII John was born in Donkin, Nova Scotia in 1922. He joined the Cape Breton Highlanders at age 19. He served overseas in Holland in 1941. He was injured with a broken elbow in Holland and had to have a plate put in it. He was Honourably discharged due to injury January 2, 1945. John passed away in 1979. Submitted by the Donkin Branch # 005 of The Royal Canadian Legion CONRAD, Agnes PEACETIME Agnes was born in 1945 in Elliston, Newfoundland. She joined the Royal Montreal Regiment in 1962 and was on Active Duty at CFB Hochelaga from 1963-1969 as an Administration and Payroll clerk. She has been a member of the Chester Legion Branch # 044 for 28 years. Submitted independently CONRAD, Byron A. BOSNIA Byron was born in 1969 in Montreal, Québec. He served in the Armoured Corps in Petawawa, Ontario and in Gagetown, NB and with the United Nations in 1994-1995 in Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia. He was also a part of the United Nations Protection Force in 1994. He served with the Royal Canadian Dragoons from 1990 to 1998. Submitted independently
