He served in the Army as an Army Engineer during the Second World War. He served overseas in England, Italy and Africa. He was injured and his wife received a letter saying that he was lost in action. His heart was punctured, but he was alive. He was a member of the Springhill Legion Branch # 017 for over 60 years before he passed away in 2007. Submitted independently CRAWFORD, Paul David SPECIAL DUTY AREA Paul was born in 1941 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He served in Canada with the RCN, Air Reserve and the RCAMC. He served with the 880 Squadron and on board the HMCS Shearwater, HMCS Bonaventure and HMCS Annapolis. Paul has been a member of the F.E. Butler Legion Branch # 044 for the past 15 years. He served in the Army with the Provost Corp during the Second World War. He served in England, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland. For his service, he was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal and the CVSM with Clasp. Harold was a member of the Hants Co.
