He served in the Air Force with the 40th Battalion in England with the C.E.R.D during the First World War. He was a member of the Parrsboro Legion Branch # 045 up until he passed away in 1975. Submitted independently EMINO, Robert Henry WWI Robert was born in Simpson’s Corner in 1895. He served in the Army during World War I with the Canadian Expeditionary Force #3187385 in Canada, England, France and Germany. He was a member of the New Germany Legion Branch # 102 for more than 50 years before he passed away in 1978. Submitted independently EMSLIE, Alexander WWII Alexander was born in 1921 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He served with the Army with the North Novas out of Amherst in France, Halifax, Debert, Amherst, Germany and Normandy. He was awarded the France and Germany Star, GRV 39-45, GRV Germany, Volunteer Service 1939CDN 1945, British Medal, D-Day Medal, Battle of Breton, United Nations Medal, Peacekeeping Medal, British United Nations, Emergency Force UN, Canadian Service Medal, France National Order of Legion. He lives on the Veteran’s Wing of the High Crest Nursing Home in Springhill, NS and is a life member of 42 years of the Peace Legion Branch # 060.
