He served with the Canadian Armed Forces for twenty-five years, where he served with the Kingston Guard, the Signal Corps as an Administrative Chief Clerk. He served as a peacekeeper in Egypt and with NATO in Europe. He was a member of Bear River Branch #022, The Royal Canadian Legion, with wife, Sandi (Yorke), for twenty-four years before he passed away on March 3, 2005. He served the Royal Canadian Navy with RCN TVG on patrol, then aboard HMCS Niobe. His tour included Channel Islands, Austend Belgium, and Coast of France. Clarence was a member of Bear River Branch #022, The Royal Canadian Legion for forty-nine years before he passed away in 1995. He served the Royal Canadian Air Force, Bomber Squadron in England and Europe. He was killed in action in 1944 when he was shot down over France. He was posthumously awarded the Operational Wings of the RCAF. Harold is buried in Viroflay New Communal Cemetery, Versailles, France, ROWB, Grave 4.
