He served in France, Holland and Germany with the West Nova Scotia Regiment from 1944 to 1947. Av was a Life Member, Past President, and awarded the MSM. He was a forty-four-year member of Kings Branch #006, The Royal Canadian Legion at the time of his death in 2005. He enlisted in the Army and served with the 3rd Anti-Tank Regiment, 94th Battery in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany during World War II. He was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, the Defence Medal, the France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the 1939-1945 War Medal. He was a member of the Hants County Branch 009 for 55 years. Gordon passed away in 2010. He served the Royal Canadian Army Service Corp from 1941-1945 in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. Walter passed away on October 6, 1971.
