He served in the Army and in the Air Force with the North Nova Scotian Highlanders “North Novies” in Belgium and Europe during World War II. He was awarded the European Campaign Medals, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, CDI and Dutch Liberation Medal. He was a member of the Hants County Branch 009. Gene passed away in 2011. He enlisted in the Navy and served onboard HMCS St. Francis and HMCS Guelph in the North Atlantic, England, Scotland, Ireland and Bermuda during World War II. He was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, Atlantic Star, War Medal 1939-1945 and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He was a member of the Hants County Branch 009 for 25 years. Clyde passed away in 2011. Submitted by Hants County Branch #009, The Royal Canadian Legion LYNCH, Harry Allen WWII Harry was born and raised in Kentville, NS. He served with the 88th Anti-Aircraft Battery, R.C.R. attached to the 5th Division. He fought in France, Germany, Holland, Belgium and Italy. Harry passed away in 1992.
