He enlisted in the Air Force and served as Leading Aircraftsman in Canada during World War II. For his service, he was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the 1939-1945 War Medal. He was a member of the Hants Co. Branch 009 for 47 years. Fred passed away in 2012. He enlisted in the Army and served with the Royal Canadian Artillery – 87th Battery as a Gunner in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland during World War II. He was involved in the liberation of Holland and was awarded the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the War Medal 1939-1945. He was a Life Member of the Hants Co. Branch 009. John passed away in 2007. Lt in Canada, England and North Africa during World War II. He was awarded the Wings, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, Defence Medal, 1939-1945 Star, African Star, Atlantic Star and the France and Germany Star.
