He served with the 13th Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Quebec Regiment), and the 40th Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force from March 1915 until being killed in action in June 1916 at only twenty-three years of age. Submitted by Kings Branch #006, The Royal Canadian Legion SEELEY, Volletort E. Volletort was born on July 15, 1928 in Shawinigan Falls, QC. He served the Royal Canadian Navy on several ships in several different countries. He was discharged with the rank of Leading Seaman. He was awarded the CD and bar, and the UN Medal. Volletort passed away on September 14, 1976. Submitted by Calais Branch #162, The Royal Canadian Legion SHANKS, Irvin WWII Irvin was born on May 24, 1922, son of Fred and Annie Shanks, in Three Mile Plains, Hants County, NS.
