WWII Ralph was born in Glenmont, NS and lived his adult life in Centreville, NS. He served in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps from 1942 to 1945, mostly in the Central Mediterranean. He was a sixteen-year member of Kings Branch #006, The Royal Canadian Legion at the time of his death in 1981. Submitted by Kings Branch #006, The Royal Canadian Legion SIMPSON, Austin E. WWII Austin was born in Lockhartville, NS in 1915. He joined the Army in September 1942, and due to medical reason, he remained in Canada where he served with the R.C.E.M.E. as an instrument mechanic. He was stationed in Halifax until the end of the war. He then opened his own business, A.E. Simpson Ltd. in Hantsport. He was married to Erma Walsh and together they had a son and a daughter.
