WWII Joe was born on Cape Sable Island, NS in 1917. ‘Cape Island’ was home except for the war years, 1939-1945. He was a veteran of the World War Two, discharged as a Corporal at the end of hostilities. He was with the West Nova Scotia Regiment and served in the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean (Italy) and Continental Europe (Holland). He was a charter president of Branch 148, R.C.L., as well as a Life Member and recipient of the Meritorious Service Award. Joe was an active Legion member until shortly before his death in 2002. He joined the Army and served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment R.C.I.C. in Italy. Malcolm was killed in action in Ortona. Submitted by Carlton Consolidated Branch #167, The Royal Canadian Legion BROW, J. WWII J. Brow was from Havre Boucher, NS. He served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles.
