He served the Royal Canadian Army in the United Kingdom. Henry had been a member of Bridgewater Branch #24, The Royal Canadian Legion for thirty-three years before he passed away in 1992. Submitted by Bridgewater Branch #024, The Royal Canadian Legion BRUHM, Ira Wendall Ira,“officially” enlisted in CEF on 12 December, 1918, in Halifax. He declared that he had been born in Blockhouse on 18 November, 1900, (in fact he was born on 18 November 1901.) Fifteen year-old Ira Bruhm lied about his age and enlisted in the full time militia in May 1917. He served in Halifax with the Composite Bn and the Royal Canadian Engineers. Sapper Bruhm was discharged as medically unfit, due to a nasal obstruction, on 22 May 1919 in Halifax. Submitted by Zone 13, The Royal Canadian Legion BRUNT, Charles Locklin WWII Charles was born on December 9, 1904 in Truro, N.S. He enlisted with the Army and served as a Gunner in the Halifax Rifles in Canada until his medical discharge in 1943. He received the C.V.S.M. Ribbon and 1939-45 War Medal. Charles passed away on February 12, 1962, and is buried in Fairview Cemetery alongside other Veterans. Submitted by Elmsdale Branch #048, The Royal Canadian Legion
