He declared that he was a lumber man, single, and that his father, Samuel Corkum of Barrs Corner, was his next of kin. He also stated that he had attended the summer training camp of the 75th Regiment in 1914. Perley was discharged in October 1917. Submitted by Zone 13, The Royal Canadian Legion COX, James T. WWII James was born in England. He served the British Navy and Royal Canadian Air Force in the Far East under Lord Mountbatten. He was discharged with the rank of Warrant Officer. James was a member of Chatham, NB Branch #003, The Royal Canadian Legion before he passed away in 1991. He enlisted in the 10th Siege Bty of the CGA on 24 September, 1917, in Lower LaHave. He declared that he was a clerk/telegrapher by trade and that his father, Capt.
