WWII Cecil was born in 1925 in Bass River, NS. He enlisted in the Army and served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in England, Germany, Belgium and Holland during World War II. He was awarded the France and Germany Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and War Medal 1939-1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Hants Co. Branch 009 for 28 years. He enlisted in the Army and served with the Royal Canadian Engineers in Gagetown, NB and Edmonton, AB. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service NATO Medal for serving in Jerusalem and Israel.
