He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served with RAF Bomber Command No. 50 Squadron in England and Germany. He served 35 missions as a Tail Gunner on Lancaster Bombers. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, Atlantic Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, and War Medal 19391945. James was a 55-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Colchester Branch 26. James passed away October, 2024. Lest We Forget
