16 NS/NU Veterans diagnosed with mental health and moral injuries as a result of Military service will be paired with specially trained Service Dogs proven to greatly improve quality of life thanks to Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion.

With demand outstripping supply of trained dogs meeting the highest of standards, this reservation of 8 dogs to be placed in 2019 and 8 in 2020 will ensure that through its’ partnership with Paws Fur Thought, NS/NU Command can provide this often life saving assistance to our Veterans in need.
